The Conclave on Social Media Measurement Standards exists to define and promote standards and best practices for social media measurement. Founded in 2011, its members include representatives of some of the world's most admired brands including General Motors, McDonald's USA, Procter & Gamble, Southwest Airlines, Thomson Reuters, as well as numerous industry associations and communications agencies. in 2013, the current members wrote and published the Conclave Standards for Social Media Measurement after two years of review and comment by fellow members as well as the general public.

To date, over 100 organizations have pledged to support the standards. We invite your organization to pledge its support as well. At this point, we are not asking for anything beyond your commitment to the standards and permission to add your organization’s name to the list of growing names. Click here to learn more.

What kind of organization are you?

We are an affiliated group of people who are passionate about high-quality, valid measurement of social media. We work collaboratively on all projects and have close ties to many industry organizations. We are not a formal 501-C3 and all work by The Conclave is done on a volunteer basis.

How would you describe your mission in one sentence?

A cross-industry effort to simplify and standardize the measurement of social media.

How often does The Conclave meet and am I allowed to come?

Each year in October we hold an in-person meeting in Durham, New Hampshire at Shankhassick Farm (Paine Publishing Headquarters). It is open to anyone with a vested interest in social media measurement standards. Click here for complete information about 2017's meeting which will be held on Friday, October 13th, 2017.
